  some questions arise with the new understanding:.

  was there a slave class between the 1st century and the 20th century?.

  in w march 1, 2004, it was stated, that the slave could not be a single man, because "acording to jesus words" the slave had started his work in 1st century and would still be in action in 20th century.. was the slave in action in 1914?

  anyone have any ideas about this issue?.

  is it really going to be that hard to ram this change down people's throats that they need to get all the elders all prepared and stuff?.

  Most JWs have no idea about 90% of the JW doctrines and won't notice a change at all.

  The stupid thing these days, is part of deprogramming a JW is teaching them what they are meant to believe in order to demontrate why the JWs cannot possibly be gods one true religion!

  Who is considered a known child molester? The January 1, 1997, Watchtower arti-cle "Let Us Abhor What Is Wicked" mentions on page 29 that a man "known to have been a child molester" does not qualify for privileges in the congregation. The expression "known to have been a child molester" has reference to how such a man is considered in the community and in the Chris-tian congregation. In the eyes of the congregation, an adult "known" to be a former child molester is not "free from accusation" or "irreprehensible," nor does he have "a fine testimony from people on the outside." (1 Tim. 3:1-7, 10; 5:22; Titus 1:7) In view of his past, those in the community would not respect him and congregation members might be stumbled over his appointment. Keep in mind that the branch office, not the local body of elders, determines whether one who has sexually abused a child is considered a known child molester.

  Q. How can a person ''be a KNOWN child molester'' in the eyes of the congregation if th congregation are not told that so and so that just moved in has a history (even once) of this crime?

  jwfacts has an article that explains why the great crowd must be in heaven.

  i am also aware that many of these are the same arguments that stemmed from the 'awakenings at bethel' so my statements are not simply attacks of jwfact's character (since these arguments are probably not original) but rather his copy and paste of what others have said instead of verifying it as 'fact' for himself.. so here are jwfacts arguments:.

  1. he shows that russell and rutherford (at some point) believed that the great crowd were in heaven.. 2. each term that describes the great crowd of revelation 7 is else used to described the anointed by the wt.

  You know, it's funny...

  after spending a year looking at hundreds and hundreds of things that collectivly demonstrate the Watchtower society and the Jehovah's witnesses can not possibly be the one true religion,

  doctrinal debate is just a total waste of time!

  Personally i think this has more to do with "interfaith'' than anything...

  I mean these people won't even put kingdom hall meeting times in the local paper along with all the others, and claim to absolutely nothing in common with any other religion...

  Yet see fit to share the stage with all sorts of religions to promote their own agenda, which is in my opinion more to do with dollars than religious freedom. After all, they should be expecting and welcoming more persecution, not lobbying to have less!

  smells like a pile of hypocrasy to me.

  SAD news about OOMPA......

  our friend, oompa, has passed away.

  just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.

  it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.

  I am stunned, and so sad for his pain and his childrens loss.

  There are so few words that can be said when you read this sort of news.

  This is another reason this fight against the WT and all the cults and high control groups must never let up.

  RIP Oompa, I too will miss you here.

  I didn't really come alive till 14 years ago...I'm a freaking teenage boy trapped in an old farts body...lucky the wifes a spring chickin' and won't let me start wearing beige cardigans and slippers.

  Keeping that mohawk, keeping that hotrod, keeping my punk clothes, keeping my filthy mind...i REFUSE to grow old...well, gracefully that is.

  Still it's sobering in a way...

  anyway, happy birthday me and now i'm going blow my eardrums out with some Rammstien.

  Not many victims get to be heard by parlimentry enquiries, and even fewer would be about the Watchtower and the JWs.

  The judicial system failed the Unthanks and all victims of the WT, it will be interesting to see what the lawmakers of the country make of it.
